Defendant broke into apartment #315 at 7709 Waterford Sq Dr, and stole Eddie Bauer backpack, XBox, Play Station, IPad II, Gold chains, cell phone, Michael Kors watch, among other things. His fingerprint on sliding glass door matched print in system.
Defendant is 17 years old and lives with his mother. He is attending school while in jail. Public Defender stated that Defendant knows Carl and went to school with him. Defendant’s home was searched and none of the stolen items were found. Defendant’s mother stated they were packing to move and he was most certainly with her that date. The mother also stated that she dropped him off at Carl’s house previously, which explains fingerprint on the door.
Defendant is ineligible for pre-trial services due to Probation Violation.
Judge Chapman unsecured the $5,000 bond in light of there is a secured $5,000 bond on the PV. If the Defendant does get released, Judge Chapman stated he must be on electronic monitor.
