Did ADA inform the judge of our presence?
Yes, but not in open court
The defendant pled guilty. As part of the plea deal, many of his charges were dismissed. The sentence that the judge was going to give him was not exactly what he was expecting (per discussion with his attorney and the ADA), and Tyshie wanted to further discuss this with his attorney, so they continued.
