Charges for today’s hearing: |
Felony Break of Enter a Motor Vehicle (9 counts), Misdemeanor resist public officer, Misdemeanor carrying concealed weapon, misdemeanor larceny (7 counts)
|
Outcome of hearing | |
Plea deal was offered to combine 9 class I felonies and 1 class 2 misdemeanor into one charge with sentence of 6 to 17 months suspended with 30 month probation.
Judge Evans refused to accept the plea deal, calling it ridiculous. She informed the defendant that she would consolidate the various charges into three separate charges with 6-17 month sentence suspended with 30 months probation for the first, 6-17 months suspended for the second and 6-17 months suspended for the third with the sentences to be consecutive – first, second and third. Court costs were waived. Attorney fees were made a civil judgment and restitution of $35 to be paid. It was noted that these crimes were committed while the defendant was out on probation. |
